“We originally were going to stay at another “resort” and discovered through reviews that the other place was going to be a disaster. I’ve had my eye on this hotel for years, it was supposed to be my honeymoon hotel back in 2020 but the world fell apart then. For my family’s first vacation we decided to spend the extra money and book at the Pacific Terrace. It was everything I hoped and expected from a luxury hotel! We got the full ocean view room for us and our two small children. The room was super clean, beds were very comfy, large TV, and nice sized balcony. All the reviews raving about this place are true! Staff was so helpful and accommodating. I accidentally left a dress at the hotel and they were kind enough to tell me and ship it to me. Loved that they had protected garage parking also for your vehicles so you don’t have to lose sleep over it. The area is pretty saturated with homeless subjects, so the extra money is worth it. If I had to gripe about anything, I would say there was a rather large palm tree kinda blocking the view in front of our balcony. That is me being extremely picky! But we would come back in a heartbeat, this place is wonderful!”

“Pacific Terrace was an easy win. The rooms are huge and every single one faces the ocean, which immediately sets the tone. Service was consistently strong. Friendly, attentive, and dialed in without being over the top. The pool and hot tub are the standout. Sitting right on the water, it’s one of those rare setups where you can actually relax and take in the sunset without fighting for a spot or dealing with chaos. Overall, it feels spacious, calm, and exactly what you want from a beachfront stay. Great perspective, great energy, and definitely a place I’d come back to. Best Hotel in Pacific Beach”

“Idyllic beach hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with good bed and shower. The deck/patio is also very nice. The pool area is convenient to all rooms and features a nice hot tub, comfy seating with sun protection, complimentary iced tea, lemonade and cookies, and delightful live music in the afternoon. The drinks are delicious and happy hour has specials - the nonalcoholic mango smoothie is spectacular. The only negative about the pool is that it's a bit too warm, but for others this will be a major positive! The beach stairs are right outside the pool area - you do need to be able to walk a long staircase to access the beach. The hotel has beach toys, etc. for guests. The beach itself is spectacular, with great swimming and body boarding or surfing conditions. The pool area rinsing showers when you return from beach are so easy and convenient, so no struggles with excess sand. You're right on the high shoreline walking path/sidewalk and close to many restaurants. Service from everyone here is great. Definitely would return.”

“The Pacific Terrace Hotel is an absolutely perfect place to stay in San Diego. From the moment we walked in every staff member was friendly and welcoming, throughout our entire stay we had some of the best service we’ve had at a hotel! The location couldn’t be any closer to the beach and it was nice that they provided beach chairs, towels and sand toys for our toddler each day. We also loved the patio off our room where we could watch the sunset. The family suites are perfect if you have young kids since they come with a fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware and a dining table - all of this was helpful when we needed to eat a quick quiet meal in our room! The rooms have everything you need, the pool is heated, the parking is on site and such a luxury that close to the beach, all in all a perfect place. We’ll be back soon!”
